While my daughter-in-law, with her three daughters, were visiting her family in Japan last week they noticed a COLLETTE MALOUF display in the Takashimaya Department store in Osaka. Today I receved an e-mail from her, asking if we were related. It is evident that you are eximious worldwide for your jewelry, and hair accessories, so I thought I’d drop you a line to tell you about the “Osaka ” incident.
We have a cousin in Dallas who creates jewelry on her own, and is pretty well know. Her name is Dian Malouf.
Our branch of the Malouf family were engaged in clothing manufacturing since 1935. It included the Mode ODay Corporation in California , and the Malouf Company in Dallas. However 5 of our 9 “kids” ended up being lawyers. NONE were interested in joining the business, and it’s a good thing, since production has moved “off shore”.

I don’t intend this to be a dissertaion, but I am sending you a copy of the Malouf family tree that dates back 15 generations. Maybe somewhere along the line we could be related. Like a friend of mine once said, “The Malouf women are as strong as an acre of garlic.” YOU, with your intelligence, and talent fit right in with that observation. If you are ever in Dallas, look us up. You have a place to stay.

I love how this color is blowing up in all aspects of design. Soooooo cool. My favorites would have to be the Burberry boots (of course)…followed chick candleholder (on the opposite side of the $ spectrum ! I am pretty sure I could never pull off the neon orange lipstick though….Awesome post!
